Football: Mater Dei player is released from hospital

Christian Maldonaldo, the Mater Dei football player who was injured at the end of the Monarchs’ quarterfinal game against Tesoro on Friday, was released from the hospital Sunday, with all tests negative, according to Mater Dei President Patrick Murphy.

Maldonaldo was expected to return to school today.
