Basketball: Arizona will move on without Fairfax’s Hill

You had to figure there was going to be some kind of fallout once the news broke about Lute Olson’s decision to retire from his position as coach at Arizona earlier this week. And sure enough, the controversy has started.

According to GOAZCATS.com, Fairfax’s Solomon Hill has rescinded his non-binding verbal commitment to the Wildcats after initially pledging back in late July. That’s right, the 6-foot-6 senior wing is back on the market.

USC has to be considered as one of the early front-runners in the re-opened Hill sweepstakes considering the Trojans courted him in the past. Kansas St., Kentucky and Miami figure to be in the mix as well. Stay tuned for updates.
