Over the past couple of months or so, Arizona has done a particularly good job of keeping the lines of communication open with players from the Southland. For example, back in May, the Wildcats landed recently graduated Kyle Fogg from Brea Olinda.

Two weeks ago, they secured an oral commitment from Fairfax’s Solomon Hill, one of the top 2009 prospects in the nation. And it appears as if Lute Olson & Co. are at it again, this time attempting to lure a pair of recruits from the 2010 class away from home.

Arizona offered Tyler Lamb a scholarship approximately 10 days ago, becoming the fourth program to do so. San Diego, UC Santa Barbara and USC are also in the running for the 6-foot-5 guard from Colony. Other schools in mix include Tennessee and UCLA, but according to these quotes, the Wildcats are in the early lead.

Anthony Brown is another Southern California kid for whom Arizona is bending over backward, and it makes sense considering how well the 6-foot-4 wing from Ocean View has played during the spring and summer evaluation periods. This report indicates that he plans to visit the Tucson campus in the future, maybe in a couple weeks.
