Boys’ basketball: Stephenson lives up to hype

Because he came from the same Brooklyn high school that produced Sebastian Telfair and Stephon Marbury, the hype surrounding Lincoln’s 6-5 Lance Stephenson is understandable.

But I was impressed Tuesday with his strength and skills as he played for Raising Champions in the Adidas Super 64.
He scored 26 points in a 70-56 victory.

Is he the next LeBron James? I don’t think so, but he is the best one-and-done from the class of 2009.
