Basketball: Walker of San Juan Capistrano J Serra interested in USC

In my book, there’s no such thing as too much hoops information. Perhaps that’s why I’m always surfing the Internet in search of news and notes about players from the Southland. Not surprisingly, I stumbled upon a good little tidbit about Demetrius Walker of San Juan Capistrano J Serra this morning.

Apparently, the recruiting process is beginning to heat up for the 6-foot-4 junior. According to these quotes, Walker had a favorite, Indiana, but has since changed his mind, and now claims USC as his front-runner. Hoosier fans can take consolation in the fact that they’re still in the hunt.

Cal, Memphis and Tennessee are among the other programs ranked in Walker’s recently cut-down, top 5 list of potential suitors, and there’s plans for him to visit each of the aforementioned schools in the very near future. In the meantime, the Trojans must be pleased with this new info.
