Junior Blind Olympics set for Saturday
There aren't many sporting events more inspirational than the Junior Blind Olympics, whose fourth annual meeting is set for Saturday in Los Angeles at the Junior Blind of America campus at 5300 Angeles Vista Blvd.
Boys and girls ages 6 to 19 will be competing in Olympic-style events adapted for the blind. Athletes come from Utah, Arizona, Nevada and California are scheduled to compete in such events as rowing, shot put, 100-yard dash and rock climbing.
