It’s 90 minutes before opening pitch, and there’s no sign of rain so far in Orange County, making tonight’s 6 o’clock Trinity League baseball game between No. 1 Mater Dei and No. 2 Orange Lutheran a go. It’s one not to miss.

Lutheran is expected to use ace Gerrit Cole. Mater Dei will counter with junior Aaron Northcraft. Mater Dei, however, will be without Stanford-bound outfielder Scott Colton, who underwent knee surgery Monday and is expected to be lost for the season after suffering a torn meniscus last week sliding into second base in a game against Placentia Valencia.
