No Jrue Holiday, no problem. With the UCLA-bound star sidelined because of foul trouble, Campbell Hall was resourceful in Thursday night’s Southern California Regional playoff game and found a way to get things done, defeating visiting Bakersfield Garces, 82-56, in a Division IV semifinal.

Holiday picked up his third foul with 5:51 left in the second quarter and headed to the bench with the Vikings ahead by eight. Dallas Rutherford, Austin McBroom and Deuce Johnson picked up the slack as Campbell Hall extended its advantage to as many as 16 points before taking a 43-32 lead at halftime.

Rutherford finished with a game-high 24 points, Johnson added 15 and McBroom contributed 14. Holiday ended up with 20 points, 10 coming in the third quarter.

The Vikings (29-5) advance to Saturday’s title game against Fresno San Joaquin Memorial (26-9) at 7 p.m. at Mater Dei High.
