It appears as if USC landed one of top football prospects in California, perhaps one of the best the nation, for that matter. Vontaze Burfict of Corona Centennial verbally committed earlier this week, choosing the Trojans after turning down scholarship offers from programs such as Colorado, Miami and Tennessee.

The recruiting services, Rivals.com and Scout.com, are high on the 6-foot-2, 235 pound junior linebacker. The Trojan faithful figure to follow suit after learning Burfict has been interested in USC for quite sometime, according to these quotes. Take a look at this blog by my colleague, Dan Arritt, for additional proof. Regardless, it’s a done deal, for now.
