Darrell Scott, you know that really great running back over at St. Bonaventure, is expected to be announced as the first selection to the 2008 U.S. Army All-American Bowl Team next week. A press conference has been scheduled Tuesday at St. Bonaventure.

While the press release says only a player from “St. Bonaventure High” who “joins the likes of Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Adrian Peterson and Brady Quinn’ has been chosen, we all know Scott is the guy they’ve picked.

And why not? Through three games, he’s rushed for 809 yards and 11 TDs for a St. Bonny team that is undefeated heading into its showdown Friday with Crespi.

Scott is expected to be one of 84 players chosen to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 8 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. He will be representing the West team in a game that’ll be broadcast on NBC at 10 a.m.
