Hello SGV,

Do you remember El Dorado, otherwise known as ElDo? Or better yet, can you ever forget them?

Last year in the 2006 Southwest Division playoffs, the Golden Hawks beat Diamond Ranch, Los Altos and Charter Oak to claim the division title. Last year was the first time in a long time that the Hawks were any good. So their title was a fluke, right? Well, probably not.

El Dorado is off to a 2-1 start, their only loss coming to perennial OC-power Esperanza by the score of 16-3. Just like last year, ElDo is doing it with defense again. They’ve pitched more complete-game shutouts in two weeks than the Dodgers’ pitchers have all season.

Could it be we’re headed for another ElDo vs. [insert SGV team] championship game? If so, will the SGV (something like 0-5 against the OC so far this year) stand a chance?

I know it’s a bit early in the season to be talking playoff match ups, but I want to know what you think.
