Your morning adorable: Dog tries to swim in midair when removed from the bathtub

October 20, 2010 |  8:33 am

When we first saw the amazing video in which an adorable terrier mix named Jack was visibly confused by the experience of riding an escalator, we thought we had found something unusual.

But as it turned out, little Jack's confusion -- which led him to move his paws as if walking, despite the fact that he was being held aloft by his owner -- may not have been so atypical after all.

"My dog Franklin went swimming for the first time yesterday while we were camping," YouTube user fangorn0 says by way of an explanation of the video above. "Today I gave him a bath, and he took this as an opportunity to practice."

Now, don't get us wrong -- we applaud Franklin's attempt at practicing, which after all does make perfect. We're just not entirely sure he's going about it right. That said, we could happily watch this video all day on an endless loop!
