Penguins don’t have to work hard to be adorable; it just comes naturally to them. But this group of Humboldt penguins at the Philadelphia Zoo has, for reasons unclear to us, have kicked their cuteness up several notches. Maybe it’s time for their keepers to give them a raise in smelt.

The penguins just can’t seem to believe their eyes when they discover that a butterfly has entered their enclosure, and they move as fast as their little webbed feet can carry them in order to investigate. (OK, haters, so it’s possible that the penguins actually wanted to eat the butterfly. It’s still darn cute.)

Penguin antics so shockingly precious are enough to make us take stock of our lives and give thanks. So we’d just like to say that we’re grateful to these penguins for making our day, to the butterfly who made it all possible and to YouTube user marty2241 for having the presence of mind to capture the whole thing on video. Cheers!
