We never dreamed moose calves could be as cute as these two stars of YouTube user arcticsooner‘s video channel are.

The calves took to frolicking, accompanied by their mother, in arcticsooner’s Anchorage backyard in the summer of 2008 -- and we can’t quite put into words how thankful we are that a video camera was on hand to document their antics. (The more than 4 million viewers of this video would, we think, probably agree with us.)

When they’re fully grown, these calves will likely weigh well over 1,000 pounds and can stand as tall as 7 feet at the shoulder. Typically, moose calves stay with their mothers until just before new calves are born. No wonder these two seem so devoted to their mother!
