A meerkat named Bob is a much-loved resident of a wildlife sanctuary in South Africa. At the sanctuary, Bob sees a lot of things (from far away, we hope) -- lions, leopards and hyenas, to name a few. But apparently he’d never seen a camera before photographer Halden Krog visited, and he lost no time in examining it.

Meerkats are members of the mongoose family and are native to the Kalahari Desert region of South Africa and Botswana. To the best of our knowledge, they are also the smallest mammals to ever be nominated for an Emmy.
