Local rescue group the Paw’d Squad will host a ‘Santa Paws’ photo session this Saturday, December 20, at their weekly adoption fair held at Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies in Westchester.

For a $5 donation, the big guy will pose with your (well-behaved) dog -- and the proceeds will be used to pay for boarding and veterinary care for needy dogs like Shel here.

Santa will be available for your Christmas-card needs from 11am - 2pm. And if you’re looking to add a rescue pet to your family, all the better -- the Paw’d Squad’s posse of adoptable dogs will be there just waiting to lick your hand and win your heart.

Centinela Feed & Pet is located at 7600 S. Sepulveda Blvd.

About Shel: She’s a four-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier who was rescued after being thrown from a moving car. She broke a leg in the fall but has now recovered and is available for adoption. She loves other dogs, gets along well with children and cats, and her behavior is described by the Paw’d Squad in one word: ‘goofy’. Photo courtesy of the Paw’d Squad.
