Winnie (ID# A0989643) has had a tough bit of luck recently -- her owners dropped her off at the East Valley shelter because, they claimed, they didn’t have enough time for her after their daughter moved away from home. (How much time can an older cat require, we wonder? But we digress.)

‘Winnie is great with people of all ages and loves to be snuggled and loved. This sweetheart would make a great lap cat for anyone, especially someone with a very relaxed lifestyle,’ says Valerie Markloff, New Hope program coordinator at the shelter.
