Social-networking powerhouse Twitter is taking a page from Facebook and nabbing some new digs for its New York City headquarters.

Twitter is alighting from its temporary New York space in Soho and heading for its new home on Madison Avenue, according to the New York Observer. The location, which the San Francisco-based company is planning to sublease, is the former hub of Facebook’s Big Apple operations before it fled a few blocks down on Madison.

The New York locales of both social-networking companies will be nestled in Midtown Manhattan, a commercial hub of dark-suitted men and women who power-walk to work at the many finance, law and insurance companies stationed there.
