Hugh Hefner bringing Playboy to Apple iPad

The Bunnies –- of the Playboy, not Easter variety -- are coming to iPad.

New issues of the adult magazine, as well as all of the archives, will be available on the Apple tablet in March.

And according to publisher Hugh Hefner, posting Tuesday night on Twitter, the raunchy material will all be released uncensored.

How that’s possible remains to be seen. Apple has an ironclad rule that prohibits pornography on its iOS platform and requires all apps to go through approval. The Playboy iPhone app, for example, has no full-frontal nudity.

Perhaps Hefner and crew are planning to skirt the Apple police by launching the iPad catalog through a browser. Or users may have to go through an age check before accessing the explicit images or use a screening method similar to parental controls on televisions.
