We’ve got sneak peeks at some of the new gadgets at CES and here is something cool.

Between using laptops, smart phones and, now, tablet computers, the habits of media consumers have been changing. One of the biggest changes is where they watch. Mobile devices have freed video from the confines of the living room, but that’s only the a la carte stuff, iTunes, Netflix and the like.

So what do these new devices do for broadcasters? Not a lot. Enter the Open Mobile Video Coalition. This group of commercial and public broadcasters is pushing to get little tiny TVs in all our pockets, complete with tuners and antenna. And if you already own a mobile media device, such as Apple’s iPad, you can use one of their gizmos to tune in to your favorite shows a their regularly scheduled times.
