AT&T will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab on Sunday for $649.99.

That’s $50 more than Sprint, T-Mobile or Verizon are already selling the new iPad challenger for, without an attached 3G service data plan.

The Galaxy Tab has a few features not found on Apple’s iPad, such as front and rear cameras for photos and video. The device runs Google’s Android operating system and is equipped with a 7-inch touch screen.

As opposed to a contracted data plan, AT&T is offering two ‘pay-as-you-go’ 3G data plans for the Galaxy Tab: $14.99 for 30 days and up to 250 MB of data or $25 for 30 days with up to 2 GB of data.

If AT&T users consume the data included in their plan before 30 days is up, they can add a 30-day chunk of data at the same price.

The AT&T Galaxy Tab data plans are month-to-month and don’t require a long-term contract. They can be set up to automatically renew every 30 days.

Regional mobile carrier U.S. Cellular will also start selling the Galaxy Tab on Friday for $599 without a 3G data plan, or $399 with a two-year data plan.

U.S. Cellular is offering a $14.99-per-month 200-megabyte data plan or a $54.99-per-month 5-gigabyte data plan that will also allow the device to be used as a mobile hotspot for other Wi-Fi devices.
