Facebook Places can seem dull, unless you’re friends with Eminem

I imagine rapper Eminem does a lot of interesting things during the week -- bike riding, tap dancing, who knows.

My friends, however, are no Eminems.

In a recent column, I explore the virtual world of real-world social networking that is Facebook Places. The tool lets you keep track of Facebook friends’ adventures around town, as long as they’re using smart phones to check in to places along the way.
