Facebook tweaks its design -- again

February 4, 2010 |  5:31 pm

Facebook is rolling out a new design to its more than 350 million users. The changes are geared to encourage people to use the social network more and in new ways. They will be discussed in detail at an event for reporters and bloggers at the Palo Alto headquarters Thursday night.

Among the changes that Facebook users can soon expect to see: The company has moved the search box and made it larger.

The design tweaks are subtle, which is probably smart. Other redesigns have irked users.

Word of the changes spilled out Thursday as Facebook gradually began rolling out the design changes. See pics here and here.
