As buzz builds for Apple’s big unveiling next week, there is lots of Apple chatter on the Web today.

TheStreet.com reports that the rumored Apple tablet will work with Verizon.

Apple is in ‘11th hour’ meetings about the tablet with book publishers, says Bookseller.com.

Peter Kafka says Time Inc. won’t be on the tablet -- yet.

Amazon.com is giving publishers a bigger royalty cut. ZDNet sees it as a defensive move.

Oh, and on the iPhone front, Apple is in talks with Microsoft to replace Google as the default search engine, Business Week reports.

Finally, a feisty Paul Carr says shuddup already.
