Andrew joined the Times in January 2007 as Senior Editor/Producer of http://travel.latimes.com. In a previous life, as a travel writer for Fodor’s and Lonely Planet, he contributed to two dozen travel books (translated into a dozen languages) and visited 40-odd countries on six continents. His Top Trails Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks hiking guidebook won a National Outdoor Book Award for Best Adventure Guidebook.

When not out rambling, Andrew inhabits a wild urban pocket near the Los Angeles River with his wife, a few skunks and his two young sons.
