Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe out until January recovering from surgery

The Clippers added some clarity to the timeframe for when guard Eric Bledsoe would return from surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right knee.

Bledsoe had surgery Oct. 7 and is expected to be out six to eight weeks. The Clippers said that time period for Bledsoe to heal started Dec. 9 and the 6-1 point guard probably will be out of action until late January.

Bledsoe, who turned 22 this week, is a second-year player out of Kentucky. As a rookie, he played in 81 games and started 25. He averaged 6.7 points, 3.6 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
