The ruling means Willis will have to sit out a second season. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Willis was a highly sought-after defensive tackle coming out of Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes High School in 2010. He signed with North Carolina but transferred to UCLA before the 2010 season began. He returned to North Carolina because of family issues.
