The UCLA women’s basketball team is having its best start in 30 years.

The Bruins, ranked No. 8 in the nation, have a 10-0 record, their best start since the 1980-81 season when they won their first 12 games.

They return to their home court this evening for the first time since Dec. 5 to play Louisiana State at 7 p.m. at Pauley Pavilion. The Lady Tigers (9-4) have won their last five games since an 81-51 loss to top-ranked Connecticut on Nov. 28.

The Bruins are top-ranked in the nation in steals, averaging 15.7 per game, and boast a very balanced offensive attack with six players averaging at least nine points.

Last year UCLA was eliminated in the second round of the NCAA tournament. This year, the Bruins are predicted to make some serious noise in the playoffs.
