UCLA Coach Ben Howland said during his weekly media conference Tuesday that sophomore forward Tyler Honeycutt should be ready to play Wednesday at Pauley Pavilion when the Bruins open Pacific 10 Conference play against Washington State.

Howland said Honeycutt, recovering from a sprained right shoulder, practiced Monday and his shoulder was ‘a little sore.’

Honeycutt was injured in the second half of the Bruins’ 75-59 victory over Montana State on Dec. 21 when he bumped shoulders with Bobcats center Cody Anderson. Honeycutt sat out UCLA’s 74-73 victory over UC Irvine on Thursday.
