The Kings assigned forward Dwight King to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

King, who plays a physical and gritty style, was called up Nov. 16. The 21-year-old appeared in six games, his first in the NHL, but did not record a point.

In 16 games with the Monarchs this year, he has six goals and 11 points. Stay tuned for more from The Times’ Austin Knoblauch, who is at the morning skate.
