Ducks send Sexton, Bonino and McMillan to Syracuse; Ryan Carter is put on waivers

The Ducks reassigned right wing Dan Sexton, center Nick Bonino and left wing Brandon McMillan to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

The club also put center Ryan Carter on waivers. Carter has played in 18 games with Anaheim this season, totaling one goal and two assists.

Sexton, 23, had been sidelined for seven games after getting hit in the face by a puck late last month. He appeared in Sunday’s game, collecting an assist on Saku Koivu’s goal against Edmonton.

Bonino, 22, appeared in 11 games for Anaheim, going scoreless. At the time of his recall Nov. 1, he led all AHL rookies in assists and ranked tied for second in scoring.

McMillan, 20, made his NHL debut Sunday night, going scoreless. At the time of his recall, he ranked tied for first among team leaders in appearances and second in shots on goal (35).
