The Ducks recalled forwards Dan Sexton, Brandon McMillan and Nick Bonino from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch on Wednesday. The move comes two days after the trio was reassigned, enabling the Ducks to save a few days of salary.

The three players did not play with Syracuse and left before the team practiced on Wednesday. For Sexton and McMillan, it marks the second time in five days they’ve been recalled.

Sexton started the season with the Ducks before suffering a broken nose and missing seven games. After recovering, he was assigned to Syracuse on Nov. 10, appearing in four games before being recalled Saturday. In his first game back, he recorded his first point of the season (assisting on a goal by Saku Koivu) during Sunday’s loss to Edmonton.

Bonino is scoreless in 11 games with the Ducks and McMillan made his NHL debut Sunday after playing in 16 games with the Crunch.
