The Cincinnati Reds’ ceremony to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Pete Rose’s record-breaking 4,192nd hit will take place at Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park on Saturday night, not Sunday, as reported in a Times’ Sports story on Friday.

Originally, Rose’s involvement in a previously planned roast with former Reds teammates at a nearby casino made him unavailable for the Reds’ Saturday celebration.

However, the roast was recently moved to later Saturday night, and the baseball ceremony will proceed as planned on the exact anniversary of Rose’s record hit.
