Erik Morales fighting again Sept. 11

Mexico’s Erik Morales, the last man to defeat Manny Pacquiao, will continue his career comeback Sept. 11 in Mexico City against Scotland’s Willie Limond.

The popular Morales (49-6, 34 KOs) will appear at a news conference Monday in Los Angeles to discuss why he’s still fighting after a 2007 decision loss to David Diaz that was expected to be his last bout. Morales claimed a March decision over welterweight Jose Alfaro in Mexico, and is now participating in this pay-per-view ($29.99) card at Monumental Plaza de Toros.

Morales’ Los Angeles appearance will be at 1 p.m. at Olvera Street.
