The day before Fanfest officially opened, the Boys & Girls Club and the Los Angeles Times were given a sneak peak of the setup within the Anaheim Convention Center.

One of the biggest attractions will greet fans when they walk in the door. The “World’s Biggest Baseball” -- which measures 12 feet in diameter.

The signatures of Ted Williams, Derek Jeter and Ozzie Smith will grace the large ball that was listed as a Guinness World Record in 2006.

Behind that are interactive games, memorabilia, places to get autographs and baseball history. Much of the Convention Center was made to look like a baseball diamond, with batting cages and dugouts throughout.

The Angels’ 2002 World Series trophy is on display and fans interested in other awards can walk through the Trophies of MLB area, where, among other things, you can see Alex Rodriguez’ s Silver Slugger Award.
