What Reggie Bush has to say about USC sanctions
In the wake of the NCAA's decision to penalize USC, former Trojans running back Reggie Bush, a key figure in the sanctions, released a statement that read predictably formal. Nothing surprising here:
"I have a great love for the University of Southern California and I very much regret the turn that this matter has taken, not only for USC, but for the fans and players. I am disappointed by today's decision and disagree with the NCAA's findings. If the University decides to appeal, I will continue to cooperate with the NCAA and USC, as I did during the investigation."
In talking last week to reporters who cover the New Orleans Saints, Bush didn't seem too concerned with the way things looked to be going at his former school.
"Whatever happens, happens," Bush told reporters when asked his thoughts about USC. "What I'm really focused on is where I'm at right now, where I'm at with the Saints' team right now, and so just really looking toward the future."
