It’s a shame most people remember Baylor best from his days as Clippers GM, because he is truly one of the greatest NBA players of all time. And the fact that a player of his caliber is only fifth on the Lakers’ all-time list shows how much talent the Lakers have had in L.A.

A 10-time All-NBA First Team selection and 11-time NBA All-Star, Baylor was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1977 and was named to the NBA 50th anniversary all-time team in 1996.

On the Lakers’ all-time list, Baylor is seventh in games played (746), first in rebounds (11,463), seventh in assists (3,650), fourth in points (23,149), first in points per game (27.4), second in rebounds per game (13.5) and ninth in assists per game (4.3).
