Dionne played 12 seasons with the Kings and was part of the ‘Triple Crown Line’ with fellow top 10 Kings Dave Taylor (No. 5) and Charlie Simmer (No. 10). Dionne was a superstar on a series of Kings teams who never could quite advance far in the playoffs.

Dionne’s best season was 1979-80, when he won the scoring title with 137 points. He was traded to the New York Rangers on March 10, 1987 for Bob Carpenter and Tom Laidlaw.

On the Kings’ career list, Dionne is third in games (921), second in goals (550), first in assists (757) and first in points (1,307).
