Cleveland Cavaliers Coach Mike Brown fired? Not yet

The Cleveland Cavaliers have NOT fired Coach Mike Brown. At least, not yet.

At a news conference Friday afternoon, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert denied an SI.com report that Brown had been fired.

‘That’s not true,’ he said. ‘We are right now just going through the evaluation process. I don’t think it’s a secret coaching is one of the things we’ll look at.’

The Cavaliers were outplayed by the Boston Celtics, in losing the Eastern Conference semifinals this season. But Gilbert said the team didn’t quit against Boston.

‘It’s one of those things that you can’t believe it after it’s happened,’ Gilbert said. ‘I feel bad for the fans more than anybody.’
