Taniela Maka, a linebacker from Long Beach Jordan High School, said he has been cleared by the NCAA and will sign a grant-in-aid to attend UCLA. Maka, who is 6-foot-1, 226 pounds, signed with the Bruins out of high school but did not achieve a high enough score on his SATs to be admitted to UCLA. Maka said he has received the necessary SAT score and has been cleared by the NCAA. He expects to be admitted to UCLA in time to join the team in August.
