Agua Caliente Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage just announced the scheduled June 19 junior-welterweight title defense by Timothy Bradley has been delayed -- likely until July -- due to an injury suffered by challenger Marcos Maidana.

The nature of Maidana’s injury was not disclosed.

Palm Springs’ Bradley (25-0, 11 KOs) was to make his third WBO title defense after his unanimous decision over Lamont Peterson at the Rancho Mirage resort in December. An Agua Caliente spokeswoman reported Tuesday that HBO and the venue were working to find a replacement date in July.
