At least one corporate sponsor is sticking with Tiger Woods.

Even though Woods has taken an indefinite leave from golf, Nike Brand President Charlie Denson said Thursday his company is still in Woods’ corner.

‘We’ve been supportive of Tiger since the story broke, and we continue to be supportive,’ Denson told the Associated Press. ‘He’s got issues he needs to deal with, and he’s dealing with them. We are looking forward to him getting back on the golf course.’

Woods said last week he’s returning to therapy after spending 45 days in a rehab facility. He did not say when he plans to return to golf.

Nike is one of the few corporate sponsors that has maintained its full commercial relationship with Woods. AT&T and Accenture cut sponsorship ties with Woods shortly after allegations surfaced in November that he cheated on his wife. Proctor & Gamble Co. and Tag Heuer have cut him out of their advertising.

‘We’re very comfortable with where he’s at, how he’s dealing with it,’ Denson said. ‘The more he deals with the issues and the better he deals with them, the better off he’ll be when he does return.’
