Keep an eye out for ‘The Green Man’

The next time you’re at a golf tournament or a hockey or football game, don’t be surprised if you spot some green men following you.

Thanks to some college-aged narcissism and the wonders of spandex, small groups of young men have invaded sporting events wearing green from head to toe.

‘The Green Man’ look was started by a Philadelphia Eagles fan whose wacky idea found its way into dorm rooms across the country when his friend worked it into an episode of the TV show, ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.’ From there, ‘The Green Man’ phenomenon went global.

The newest ‘Green Man’ franchise was spotted Tuesday night in Vancouver. Needless to say, it was probably the most awkward two minutes of Dave Scatchard‘s life. Check out the video:
