Ricky Craven’s
win at Darlington Raceway in 2003 was voted as the top NASCAR race of the decade by the media.

The 2001 Daytona 500, the race that claimed the life of Dale Earnhardt, was not among the choices provided to voters to consider. It would have been a runaway winner, taking into account the Twitter chatter and message board discussions.

Kurt Busch winning the first Chase at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2004 was ranked No. 6.
