The Kings made some personnel moves today, sending center Corey Elkins back to Manchester of the American Hockey League and recalling left wing Scott Parse from Manchester. Parse arrived early this morning and participated in the game-day skate in El Segundo, so he will play tonight against Minnesota at Staples Center.

Center Jarret Stoll skated but almost certainly won’t play the next three games, tonight against Minnesota, Wednesday at Calgary and Thursday at Minnesota.

The news was grim about right wing Justin Williams, who broke his right leg Saturday at Phoenix. Coach Terry Murray said Williams was to see the team doctor today and is expected to undergo a surgical procedure that will repair the damage. Williams could be out as long as three months, Murray said.

‘Tough on him emotionally and mentally,’ Murray said. ‘He’s a great teammate. He comes into the dressing room every day, and he’s kind of that easygoing guy. That’s contagious, and I think it’s important to have players like that around your locker room because there’s such pressure every day coming from everywhere.

‘He’s pretty emotional about this injury, and I guess I have to be understanding of that when it’s going to be ... probably three months that he’s going to be on the sideline.’
