Pacific 10 Conference Commissioner Larry Scott said before Saturday night’s game in Eugene that he planned on meeting Sunday with Oregon officials and LeGarrette Blount to discuss the running back’s possible reinstatement. Oregon Coach Chip Kelly suspended Blount for the season after he punched Boise State’s Byron Hout following Oregon’s Sept. 3 season-opening loss in Idaho.

Kelly later said Blount might be reinstated sometime in November if he adhered to a set of rules mandated by the school.

If Oregon decides to allow Blount back on the team, the school would need approval from the Pac-10.

‘I have ultimate authority,’ Scott said.

Scott said he was meeting with officials to gather facts to expedite any decision he might have to make.

‘They have to initiate the process,’ Scott said of Oregon.
