John William Lomax charged in connection with fatal stabbing of Connecticut’s Jasper Howard

A Connecticut man has been charged with murderin the fatal stabbing of University of Connecticut football player Jasper Howard.

Deron Freeman told the Associated Press today that his client, John William Lomax, has been arrested and booked on murder charges. Police said they would make an announcement later today to discuss what they have described as ‘significant developments.’

Freeman said Lomax was initially arrested for starting the fight leading to Howard’s stabbing at an on-campus dance on Oct. 18. He said he was surprised to have learned Lomax has been charged with murder.
