Danica Patrick has signed a three-year contract to continue driving in the IndyCar series, according to several reports, ending the speculation that she might cross over full time to NASCAR. Patrick, according to the Indianapolis Star News, last weekend agreed to remain with Andretti Green Racing and will continue to drive the No. 7 car with a Motorola-based sponsorship.

SI.com also reported that Patrick is remaining on the IndyCar series, though it added that Patrick could be allowed to drive in some lower-level NASCAR races.

“I know she has said winning the Indianapolis 500 is important to her and that it’s a lifelong dream to win that race,” Jeff Belskus, the president and CEO of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, has said.

Patrick, 27, got her lone victory as an IndyCar driver a year and a half ago. She has been driving on the circuit for five years.
