For those expecting to see the L.A. Women’s Tennis Championships match between Flavia Pennetta and Samantha Stosur on ESPN2, and are finding a men’s match between Andy Roddick and Juan Martin del Potro, the women will be on ESPN Classic until the men’s match is over.

The men’s match is pretty compelling, though, in the third set. Interestingly, it is a replay of the 2008 final at the men’s tournament at UCLA (Del Potro beat Roddick). Neither man came back to the Los Angeles men’s event this year.

Some statistics on the two women who will play in today’s final at Home Depot Center: Stosur has the second-most aces so far (22); Pennetta is tied for seventh with 10. Pennetta has held serve the most often this week, 36 out of 40 times or 90%; Stosur is second, 34 out of 41 times or 83%. Pennetta has saved the most break points (75%).
