Former Bruins great Troy Aikman to be enshrined into CFB Hall of Fame

Former UCLA and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman will be enshrined Saturday into the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Ind. He was inducted into the Hall in December at a ceremony in New York.

The event will be televised for the first time by CBS College Sports Network from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. (Pacific). The show will also be streamed live on ESPN360.com.

The West Covina native was drafted first overall by the Cowboys after playing two seasons for the Bruins (1987 and 1988) in which he passed for 5,298 yards and 41 touchdowns.

Then Aikman, a six-time Pro Bowl quarterback for the Cowboys who led the team to three Super Bowl wins, passed for 32,942 yards and 165 touchdowns in his 12-year NFL career. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2006 and is now an NFL analyst for Fox.
